STRESS AND WAYS TO MANAGE

It is not uncommon to hear friends, family, and even yourself complain about the stress of daily life. Stress is defined as a state of worry and pressure in a difficult situation that can negatively impact our well-being if not dealt with properly. It is considered not only part of an obstacle to overcome in life for growth, but also necessary to face. Different people deal with stress in different ways, but it's important to remember that everyone has different levels of tolerance.

Having said that, each person is affected differently by stress. It has an impact not only on our mental health but also on our physical health. Stress usually causes anxiety, which leads to difficulty sleeping or losing focus at work. Stress, if not dealt with properly, can lead to depression, which can be detrimental to our daily functioning.

Stress Management
There are numerous ways for dealing with stress that you can find online or in other readings, but here are some of our favorites:

  1. Feel in control

When we begin to lose control in the midst of a difficult situation or crisis, it is easy to become stressed out. As a result, it is critical to maintain a daily routine or set some easily achievable goals, such as establishing a regular meal time, allocating specific time for your family, exercising, and sleeping and waking at the same time.

  1. Connect with others

Sharing your problems with people you trust can lighten your situation and lift up your mood. A listener is excellent for feeling validated, and they may even provide you with a new perspective on your problem. On a more serious note, seeing a counselor or therapist could help us deal with our problems in a much more effective way. When necessary, seek our professional assistance.

  1. Practice stress relieving techniques

Stress can be better managed by engaging in stress-relieving activities such as yoga, meditation, and learning breathing techniques. Aside from relieving stress, these activities have numerous other advantages for both the mind and the body. The best part is that they are mostly free!

There are some items available that could also be used during these stress-relieving activities. Scented candles, which are commonly used in aromatherapy, are one of these. The scent of candles, as well as the dim light they emit, may improve your mood and promote better sleep. If you're looking for scented candles, consider Life Design Studios' Riang scented candle line.
